At Dance Team World, we believe in creating lasting impact beyond the competition floor. That’s why we offer monetary scholarships to dancers who participate in our programs — supporting their journeys into college, trade school, or continued education. We believe the dance team industry allows students the opportunity to cultivate lifelong skills that are valuable to society. There are a variety of scholarship opportunities to choose from listed below, with more being added throughout the year. So check this page periodically for updates!

In addition to scholarships funded directly by Dance Team World, we proudly administer personalized scholarship opportunities created by individuals, families, teams, or corporate sponsors. Whether you’d like to honor a coach, celebrate a legacy, or support students from a specific community… we’ll work with you to bring that vision to life.

All scholarship funds are safely held in an escrow account until the awarded student graduates high school. At that time, Dance Team World shall remit payment directly to the recipient’s college, university, or trade school on their behalf — ensuring transparency, purpose, and student-centered impact every step of the way.

Dance Team World scholarship opportunities are designed to recognize and reward student dancers who demonstrate excellence, leadership, and commitment to the values of the dance team community. Eligibility is generally tied to participation in Dance Team World affiliated events, but not in all instances. For scholarship candidates with a participation requirement at our National Title in Las Vegas, scholarship awards shall be presented to students during our scholarship banquet (held during our National Championship event weekend).

🎓 Dance Team World Leadership Panel Scholarship

Awarded to students who showcase exceptional leadership, public speaking, and collaboration skills. Candidates are selected from senior division soloists representing their U.S. state in the National Title Solo Championship. Winners are chosen based on participation in the DTW Leadership Panel experience and award amounts may vary year to year.

Automatically eligible through pre-qualification at a Dance Team World sponsored regional event (See competitions page to view list of available solo title regionals). Requires participation in any National Dance Team Solo Title championship division at our National Title competition in Las Vegas.

👑 Miss Dance Team™ National Title Scholarship

Inspired by the legendary Dr. Kay Teer Crawford — creator of the dance team competition industry and founder of Miss Drill Team USA® — this scholarship honors her groundbreaking legacy. Awarded to the top female soloists (ages 16–19) competing in the Senior Division of the National Title Solo Championship at the Dance Team World National Championship in Las Vegas. This prestigious scholarship recognizes outstanding overall performance as an elite-level dance soloist. Up to five dancers may be selected each year to receive a monetary scholarship award.

Eligibility: Dancers automatically qualify by earning a title solo bid at any Dance Team World-sanctioned regional event to compete in the Miss Dance Team™ National Title Solo Championship division at National Title Las Vegas, presented by Dance Team World.

🌟 Teen National Title Scholarship

This scholarship celebrates top talent in the Teen National Title Solo Championship division of the National Dance Team Solo Championship. Up to five high-scoring soloists between the ages of 13–15 may be selected for this monetary award.

Eligibility: Dancers automatically qualify by earning a title solo bid at any Dance Team World-sanctioned regional event to compete in the Mr. Dance Team National Title Solo Championship division at National Title Las Vegas, presented by Dance Team World.

🕶️ Dance Team World Hip Hop Scholarship

Awarded to standout performers in the Hip Hop Solo Title category at DTW National Title. Dancers must be currently enrolled in a high school dance team program. Multiple winners may be selected annually based on scoring and category size.

Eligibility: NO pre-qualification necessary. Automatically eligible through participation in our Hip Hop Solo Championship division at our National Title competition in Las Vegas.

🎒 Dance Team World Gold Scholarship

This scholarship is presented to high-scoring soloists in the Grade Level Solo category (9th–12th grade) at DTW National Title. It recognizes technical growth, artistry, and performance within grade-based peer groups. Limited to grade level solo competitors in the Gold division.

Eligibility: NO pre-qualification necessary. Automatically eligible through participation in the Grade Level Solo Championship division at our National Title competition in Las Vegas. Monetary scholarship award is limited to dancers competing in the Gold solo division
