Beyond Limits Dance Program

dance team world - beyond limits chance to dance workshops for disabilities and abilities

An Inclusive Space for Youth with Learning & Ability Challenges

Beyond Limits: The Chance to Dance is Dance Team World Education Foundation’s abilities program, created to make sure disabled and neurodivergent youth dancers are not just included, but celebrated!

We welcome dancers with a wide range of disabilities and access needs, including (but not limited to) autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, mobility disabilities, limb differences, chronic illness, cancer treatment and recovery, and injuries that impact movement, as well as dancers who experience a combination of these.

Our goal is simple: more access, more joy, more stage time for dancers who love to dance, and for the families who too often get told “that program isn’t set up for you.”

2026 Dance Opportunities that are truly BEYOND LIMITS!

If you are searching for dance performance opportunities for dancers with disabilities, you are in the right place. Dance Team World offers non-competitive, supportive, national-level experiences built with flexibility, dignity, and real accessibility in mind.

In 2026, we have opportunities currently programmed in Las Vegas, Nevada AND Santa Ana, California. Please scroll down for information on both programs.

Dance Team World Nationals in Las Vegas 2026

Beyond Limits: Las Vegas Nationals
(March 20–22, 2026)

Location: The Orleans Hotel & Casino (Las Vegas, NV)
Fee: $85 per participant
Type: Non-competitive destination dance experience + featured stage performance
Age Limit: To be announced

This is a non-competitive travel opportunity designed for disabled and neurodivergent youth dancers to be featuredwith programming that supports different access needs and comfort levels.

How it works

  • Learn at home first: Dancers receive a routine by video before the event so they can practice at home with family and friends.
  • Friday, March 20: An in-person workshop to review and build confidence with our Beyond Limits coordinator and choreographer.
  • Saturday, March 21: Stage spacing and blocking rehearsal with support from graduating senior dancers from across the country who are in Las Vegas that same weekend for our national title divisions (i.e. Miss Dance Team, Mr. Dance Team senior title solo competitors). This day is also used as a flexible “back-up” practice opportunity in case Beyond Limits participants experience last-minute health implications and are unable to attend Friday’s workshop.
  • Sunday, March 22: A featured on-stage performance during our Nationals closing show.

Optional 2nd performance opportunity (non-adjudicated)

Participants are also welcome to submit an additional age-appropriate solo or group routine with siblings, friends, family members, or a school dance program.

  • This routine is not scored and not ranked.
  • Optional: it can receive encouraging, constructive feedback from our judges (no placements, no comparisons, just support).

What each participant receives

  • Event T-shirt at check-in
  • Plaque or medal + crown!
(presented immediately following the final performance so participants don’t have to wait until awards if families wish to enjoy other Las Vegas amenities and entertainment opportunities).

Built with families in mind

We get it. With disability, chronic illness, and medical complexity, plans can change fast. If something shifts last-minute, reach out. We will do our best to work with your family.

This opportunity is for youth & teens who love to dance, and for families who want a national-level experience that does not treat accessibility like an afterthought.
